Each week at the Sunday service, our communion does not end with the post-communion prayer. It continues as Eucharistic Visitors take the Gifts from the altar out into the Conejo Valley to set tables of grace in hospital rooms, retirement facilities, or the homes of parishioners who are not mobile enough to join us in person. This pastoral ministry is a tremendous gift to those who bear the weight of isolation that struggles with mobility and health can bring.

Eucharistic Visitors are involved in the taking of Communion to the aged, the sick, the hospitalized, or other members of the St. Patrick’s community unable to be present at our Eucharistic gathering on Sundays. This vital ministry has sacred ties dating back to the days of the early church. Eucharistic visits are a gift and a blessing, done with graciousness, open heartedness, and a sense of the abundance of God’s love being manifest.
