I'm New to St. Patrick's

Find A Place to Belong

Whether you’re exploring faith, returning to church, or simply curious about who we are —we’re glad you’re here. At St. Patrick’s, you’ll find a welcoming and inclusive community rooted in faith and tradition. We invite you to worship with us, grow in fellowship, and discover how you belong in the life of our church. Here you’ll find a welcoming community ready to share God’s love and eager to make you feel right at home.

Join Us in Worship

We want you to feel comfortable coming to St. Patrick’s for the first time! Whether you are attending your first ever service or you’re a “cradle Episcopalian,” every church can be a little different. We have ushers at every Sunday service who will greet you and can help get you oriented. If you would like to talk to someone in detail, a person with a green emblem on their name tag (a Vestry Member) is a great person to connect with. But, if you have questions, just ask any parishioner! We’re a friendly bunch and were all first-timers once.

Families Welcome!

Children (and grandchildren) are always welcome to participate in church services! Each Sunday morning, Godly Play (a.k.a. Sunday School) is offered during the 9:30 service, which is for children from kindergarten through 5th grade.

Toddler care (ages 2 ½ to kindergarten) is available on the 2nd and 4th Sundays each month. For all other Sundays, there is a Children’s Worship Corner in the transept (west) wing of the church. There you will find books, blocks and art projects for use during all services.

Join Us for Fellowship

Every Sunday after our services, you are welcome to join us at our Fellowship Hour in the Parish Hall. Our hospitality crew provides coffee, nibbles, and light refreshments for all. Everyone is encouraged to linger, chat, and enjoy the fellowship that makes St. Patrick’s so special. This is also a great opportunity to ask questions, connect, and meet other church members.

Get Involved

At St. Patrick’s, we offer many ways to connect, get involved, share fellowship, and grow in faith. There are numerous ways to get involved at St. Patrick’s, from small groups and bible study to outreach and volunteer opportunities. Here you’ll find a place where you truly belong!

Becoming a Member

It’s easy to join our church family! Some people start by attending regularly, while others jump into a small group or ministry. You can reach out to one of our clergy or to the parish office at any time to learn more about ‘official’ membership. We look forward to welcoming you ever more fully into the life of our parish.

Some Common Questions

Do I need to be Episcopalian to attend?

Not at all! Many of our members come from different backgrounds—or none at all. Whether you are exploring your beliefs, reconnecting with your faith, or just curious, you are welcome here.

Some like to dress up for church in their “Sunday best,” but many of our parishioners prefer everyday attire. We encourage you to wear what’s comfortable and feel welcome to come as you are.

The choice is yours! There are no assigned seats. We have two sides to our church. The primary seating area for the congregation (called a nave) is accessed directly through the main doors as you approach from the parking lot. You can also sit on the west side of the church (called the transept), which also has the Children’s Worship Corner.

Our worship is meant to be welcoming and accessible. The liturgy is intended to be the work of the people, so there is an emphasis on congregational participation, but don’t let that intimidate you. There’s always a helping hand from a fellow worshipper or instructions from the priest to help everyone feel comfortable and encourage an experience with the Divine.

All are invited to come to the altar rail and all are welcome to receive communion at St. Patrick’s. If you do not wish to receive Holy Communion, or you are not sure whether you should, we encourage you to come forward for a blessing. Just cross your arms across your chest so the priest knows you wish to receive only a blessing. You are also welcome to remain in the pew and not come to the altar rail if that is more comfortable for your visit.

To receive communion, come forward to the altar rail and kneel (as you are able) or stand. Place your right hand in your left hand with palms up and extend your hands to receive the bread. At St. Patrick’s, we do not drink from the common cup. Instead, to receive the wine, gently intinct (dip) the bread into the chalice (being careful not to touch the wine or cup with your fingers). If you follow a gluten free diet, just inform the priest or eucharistic minister. We have   gluten free communion options available, including the host, wine and chalice.

Yes, of course. Designated parking spaces are located directly in front the church. The church, parish hall and offices are accessible for users of wheelchairs. There is no designated wheelchair seating, but our aisles can accommodate both wheelchairs and walkers. There is also an expanded area in the back of the church where wheelchair and walker users can comfortably sit or park. Please ask a friendly usher if you require any assistance on Sundays. Accessible restrooms are available in the parish hall and in the offices.
