Stewardship | Annual Pledge 2026

Beloved Friends,
Christians are storytellers. We tell an ancient story. One that encompasses the beginning of all things. One in which God’s longing for relationship with us is traced with love. It is a story of love that meanders through the wandering of our spiritual ancestors, flows through the prophetic tradition, and culminates in the story of the life and gifts of Jesus, the Incarnate God. The story continues on in each of us today as we encounter the love of God in Jesus, and participate in God’s cosmic love story as we love one another.
Luke’s Gospel is bookended by the animated storytelling of two women named Mary. Early in the Gospel, Mary, the mother of Jesus, tells us of her encounter with the Divine, who informs her that she will bear a child who will change the world. She proclaims her joy: “Tell out my soul! The Greatness of the Lord!” At the end of the Gospel, another Mary-Mary Magdalene-visits the tomb to discover it empty and receives instructions from the Risen Christ to go tell the others. She carries the story with jubilation to the disciples, and thus, their story is shared with us, and it becomes our story.
What is your story? What is the idea, dream, or challenge placed in your heart by God that needs to be shared? What is the ministry to which you are called that will change the world, sharing your talents, gifts, and love with your neighbors?
Our Pledge Campaign this year focuses on these stories the ones inside you, the ones you are still writing, the ones we tell about those who have gone before us. We are all part of this ongoing story-the story of Divine creating, redeeming, and loving. As you pray about how you will share your gifts with Saint Patrick’s this year, think about how God is calling you to tell out your soul, to spread the Good News far and wide. Hear the stories we share weekly throughout the campaign, which relate the creative spark within us to the ways in which we are called to serve God and love our neighbor.
On behalf of your Vestry, we invite you to consider how God’s story of unmitigated, unstoppable love for you has become your story. And we invite you to share your love story.
Tell out my soul! The Greatness of the Lord!
